Snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park

Back in January (I know, forever ago!!) a friend of ours came to visit, Phil Cohen of Cohen Architectural Woodworking, and brought along some members of his crew. We went up to Rocky Mountain National Park and some of us went snowshoeing. Some of the others just played in the snow at Bear Lake.

Sid, myself, and our new friends Darla and Jon hiked up to Bierstadt Lake, and when we took a rest at the side of the icy lake- we met some more new friends!!!

It was pretty phenomenal to be able to interact with the birds like this, let me tell you! I was scared at first, but eventually I put my hand out and made a couple new friends too. ;)

It was such a beautiful day, and we were blessed by the most amazing sunset on our way back down from Bierstadt Lake.

And right before we reached the bottom, Sid took a fun shot of me laughing at him. The sky was so gorgeous, all lit up with pink and purple. I adore living here so much!

Katrina

My hubby posted this blog about our friend Katrina the other day after he finished editing the below video for her. 

Katrina is a childhood friend of my husband's and we've been back in contact with her since we moved to the Boulder area. She's such a sweet and inspiring little lady! (I say little because she IS very little- just watch the video!)   :) 

She's adorable, yes, but even better- she's a sincere woman with a big heart who has come through so much and is on her way to an even more exciting journey than what she has currently been on. (and her current journey has been exciting, let me tell you!)

Coor's Brewery Tour

Back in December, some friends of ours came to CO for a visit. We took them to Coor's for a tour and I took a few photos while there.

Coor's is located in the sweet little town of Golden, CO. I have an aunt and uncle that live there as well. It's got cute shops, is home to the Colorado School of Mines, and has fun street festivals in the summer.

These trains are refrigerated to transport the final packaged product to it's many destinations.

Coor's has a greenhouse on the grounds and they keep fresh flowers around the premises year round. :)

It was a great weekend, and Phil has been back since (to CO, not to Coor's, lol.) We always enjoy having them around. Until next time...
