Hiking at Hessie Trailhead

In the snow...

The Hessie Trailhead was as beautiful as ever. I'd only been there one other time, but thoroughly enjoyed it both times!

It only snowed for the first half of our hike, and after that the sun was out in full force, warming things up for us.

Sid's dad and Patti were visiting Colorado and hiking with us this day. They loved it, even the snow!

My Carter had a great time too, hopping and jumping over trees and rocks and chasing after squirrels and sticks.

Thanks for coming to visit Larry and Patti! We had a wonderful time!

Beautiful Colorado Skies

So yesterday we bought a new car! Hooray! It was quite the process actually. So I feel like I've won a battle! lol. On our way home the skies looked very awesome, so I snapped some pictures on the go.

It had rained super crazy hard yesterday afternoon (and it was AWESOME) and so they were kinda crazy looking for a lot of the day and into the evening. 

This was on Hwy 66 right near I-25.
